There comes a time when you realise that your new gym is in fact just like every other gym you have ever been to. The big muscle guys act like idiots with a basic genetic need to intimidate the fatties in the gym. Or perhaps its the homophobic comments about dropped soap or lifting shirts…I would change to another gym, but, i think they are all the same really…
Upped the weight. The reps are now at 40kg!

Ok, so the usual crap at work. blah blah blah
Going to the gym now.
1) do full work out (i can do the weights til it hurts, but HATE cardio)
2) speak to trainer bout meal replacement shakes (maybe this will help? LOL)
3) sign up for personal training session… (maybe a cute young lad yelling ONE MORE will help me)
report soon….

Ok, so absolutely no energy for cardio. 10 minutes on the treadmill (6.0km/h at 8% incline) and i was done.
Changed weight program slightly to add a bit more burn.
3×15 35kg Lat pull down
3×15 35kg Chest Prest
(the rest was the same, i started to get very tired and worn out by then)
Also have been pondering protein/meal replacement drinks. If only once a day i reckon it might get me off my morning croisants (probably what’s keeping me fat)

ok, so finally i decide on a theme or idea for what to write about. I have recently started at the gym, again, and i thought what a better motivator than to post my progress or lack there of and keep track of my attendance or lack thereof.
To many my starting program will seem rather lame, but keep in mind that i am at first count 19st7 (124.5kg) with the exercise tolerance of a buffet stuffed bear.
Starting workout….
10 minutes treadmill 6.0km/hr on 6.0% incline
10 minutes crosstrainer
2 x 15 — 35kg lat pull down
2 x 15 — 30kg bicep curl and tricep pull down
2 x 15 — 35kg chest press
2 x 15 — 35kg shoulder press
2 x 15 — 80kg leg press
20 - 30 minute swim (depending on energy level)
Seems rather tame to start with, but i am actually tired and moderately sore afterwards so it must be an ok starting point. Now i am sure that i would make much faster progress were i to eat properly as well, but one thing at a time eh….
